Expect to Be Pampered: Jackson Hospital’s Birth Center Showcase
At the 2017 Montgomery Babypalooza Baby Expo, Jackson Hospital introduced expecting parents to its recently renovated Family Birth Center. Designed around the theme “Expect to Be Pampered,” the hospital’s exhibit provided attendees with an opportunity to learn about the $3 million renovation, meet doctors and nurses, and explore the services available to them. With an inviting setup, informational stations, and dedicated areas for engagement, the hospital created a space where parents could feel comfortable asking questions and preparing for their birth experience.
The Challenge: Introducing Expecting Parents to a Newly Renovated Birth Center
After completing a $3 million renovation, Jackson Hospital wanted to connect with expecting parents and ensure they were aware of the updates to its Family Birth Center. The hospital had upgraded its birthing suites, technology, and patient amenities to improve the labor and delivery experience. However, many parents in the community were not yet familiar with these changes. Babypalooza provided an opportunity to engage with parents directly and highlight what they could expect if they chose to give birth at Jackson Hospital.
The Babypalooza Solution: An Informative and Engaging Exhibit
At Babypalooza Montgomery 2017, Jackson Hospital’s exhibit was designed to reflect its commitment to patient care and comfort. The space featured:
- A Welcoming Setup – The area was decorated with pink carpet and included multiple stations where parents could learn about labor and delivery, postpartum care, and hospital amenities.
- Meet-and-Greet with Physicians and Nurses – Parents had the opportunity to meet with OB/GYNs and labor and delivery nurses, ask questions, and introduce their doctors to family members they brought with them.
- Pampering Stations – To align with the “Expect to Be Pampered” theme, the exhibit included:
- Blue and pink cupcakes for attendees
- Branded giveaways
- A private diaper changing and breastfeeding area
- Information on Birth Center Services – Hospital staff provided details on the Family Birth Center’s updates, helping parents understand what was available to them.
The Impact: Strengthening Awareness and Comfort with Jackson Hospital’s Birth Center
Jackson Hospital’s presence at Babypalooza gave expecting parents an opportunity to learn about the Family Birth Center’s renovations in a setting where they could have direct conversations with doctors and nurses.
